Dulux Egyptian Cotton. Good luck!

Londonwelshie · 13/08/2026 12:12

Lick Taupe 03 from B&Q?

Advocodo · 13/08/2026 12:12

Egyptian cotton might be one to consider.

Advocodo · 13/08/2026 12:16

Just walnut - Dulux. Have this is every bedroom. Sometimes it changes tone throughout the day , can have a very very slight pink tone to it.

Sunshineandrainbow · 13/08/2026 12:18

Dulux summer linen or timeless

WonderingWanda · 13/08/2026 12:19

Egyptian cotton or just walnut are both good. Just walnut can look a bit pink though in some lights.

SaffyWall · 13/08/2026 12:21

Our kitchen is Dulux Natural Hessian - I'm really pleased with it. The paint covered easily and has given a really nice even finish.

Brizzle1991 · 13/08/2026 12:32

Bleached Lichen 2 ( dulux mixed in store) is a great dupe of F&B Elephant's Breath

Whorulestheroost1 · 13/08/2026 12:37

Another vote for Egyptian cotton or FB Skimming stone which is very similar.

Tortephant · 13/08/2026 12:44

is this for photos or viewings?
I'd be put off at a viewing with a fresh paint smell and look. I'd be suspicious that you are hiding damp or something.

Hillwalking365 · 13/08/2026 12:52

Egyptian cotton.

Pootles34 · 13/08/2026 12:53

House is on market tomorrow? Haven't photos already been done? I agree smell of paint would set red flags flying.

Surely you can't get it painted in one day, and all clear up done?

Changedforsafety · 13/08/2026 13:15

im not worried about smell of paint . Viewings prob won’t start till next week anyway .

is Just walnut nice ?

Someone is coming to do it and colour will be v similar to what is there now , the walls are v grubby because I was planning a kitchen refit obviously not now as I’m selling. I wouldn’t imagine anyone would notice from the pictures .
the rest of the house is in perfect decorative order and the kitchen really lets it down . :(

Wilko - on deck

Papyrophile · 13/08/2026 17:53

Egyptian Cotton, Timeless, or Bleached Lichen 2.

Thatsanotherfinemess1 · 13/08/2026 18:56

Just walnut is really nice, expensive looking and quite subtle

paddleboardingmum · 13/08/2026 21:29

Agree with pp the paint smell will alarm viewers. Either they want it with the kitchen as is or they don't, viewers aren't fooled by a lick of paint, they could do that themselves.

Good luck though with your sale OP.

Mespher · 13/08/2026 21:36

I can't stand beige so would paint over it or not buy it

Changedforsafety · 14/08/2026 07:22

I’ve gone with Egyptian cotton . I just feel as though the dirty walls really let the house down . I was planning a new kitchen and refurb of that room , but decided that it’s time to make a move hence why it’s so mucky . Appreciate everyone’s views.
this is a big step for me as I’ve been in this house 24 years as my marital home and I’m striking out alone for the first time . Daunting and scary if I’m honest!
