Weird and bonkers kitchen storage/arrangement ideas

Dd and i are moving into a new house together

I'll be in the annex and them in the main house out kitchen will be very close or next to each other

I'll only need a kitchenette most of the time and any big cooking ill do in the main kitchen (Christmas, parties etc)

So i need space saving and mad ideas

One is to have a kitchen island on wheels with all the baking stuff in with a lft up shelf for the mixer and a pull out surface to work on (which might live in the utility but move to either kitchen area when one of us wants to bake)

The utility will also have a spare fridge/freezer foe overflow and the washing machine (unlikely to need 2)

So what have MN to offer in munusual ideas?

We have added planning the bedroom into my current field of research - i hate bedrooms!

I would say given size of utility, one dishwasher and just run it twice a day if needed. I have two and I only run both at Christmas and if we have dinner parties- I could totally live without and extra drawers would probably be more useful.

I am still convinced the end of the hall between my kitchen and bedroom is a waste of space - i keep trying to play with the stairs - can we put some of the bathroom under the stairs or change the layout some how

It's so frustrating I think an architect may be the way to go!

I think an architect would be helpful - especially once you know where all the plumbing needs to go.

have you tried taking out all the non supporting walls in the floor plan to see what the space looks like?

Im hoping to ask and go measure up so I'll see if I can work out which are load bearing

I'm assuming the thicker walls are external & I imagine the side of the lounge and the wall between the kitchen/dining room

The architect with eat into the budget but I'm hoping it will save budget too
