Should we leave leftover bathroom tiles for the new owners?

We're hopefully moving soon so I have been having a clear out.

We have a few small boxes of leftover tiles from when we renovated the bathrooms. I'd like to leave then for the new owners in case it's helpful (eg if they ever need to take tiles up to fix something). Is this a good idea? The boxes are in the loft.

Yes why not? Just leave a note. It's quite handy to have a spare in case some get broken.

My daughter has just moved and discovered some crackedvtiling in the en-suite….sparevtilescwould have been useful.

Tell them and ask if they want the tiles. Then it's their decision.

You should really ask them before leaving anything. They may be planning to strip out the bathroom and the tiles would just be a nuisance.

It's a very tiny nuisance though, if they don't want them.

Just ask the buyers if they want them.

Depends how much lugging around you have to do in relation to your move. Tiles are heavy to shift. I would prefer to have the space.

There were several spare rolls of wallpaper and some tiles left in our loft when we moved here 40 years ago. They are still there.😂

We left tiles but let the new owners know.
The bathroom tiles were behind the path panel and the kitchen tiles (wall & floor) were behind the plinths.
That is where we stored them after fitting the new kitchen & bathroom.

I mentioned in the forms you fill out that we had leftover tiles there that we would leave behind unless they asked us to remove them/take them away. The buyers didn't ask us to remove them so we left them behind. They might never be needed but it's nice to have the option.

Yes - previous owners tiled half way up the wall, we finished the job and attached a shower!

Very useful to leave for them. I wish the people who we bought from had, as we have just tiles taken up to fix a leak - they broke, of course. Unfortunately the tiling runs throughout the hall, kitchen, dining room, living room and utility.

Ask them. They could come in very handy as replacement and repair tiles. Even new ones of the same colour might not be a complete match as they will be from a different batch.
