Curtain colour ideas for north-facing bedrooms with grey walls

Hi, we have couple of North facing bedrooms which need new curtains. We have medium grey walls (Dukux goose down) and white ceilings. Any suggestions for colour theme for curtains? Like the idea of warm tones in cold room but can't visualise it so would appreciate some help. Thanks.

Change the paint then. Warm curtains with cool paint will always feel uncomfortable.
if you keep the paint then choose something like a blue background to keep the cool tone structure but with a pattern in warmer colours. Add a colourful rug too.

We have warm cream walls with dark blue curtains and blue/gold duvet covers.

Then you’re going to have to change the wall colour.

I’d go gold

Imo the best way to make it feel warm is to lose the grey walls and replace with a warmer colour paint. However, bringing in lots of warmer colours and textures can make a difference - layer the space so it feels more cosy.

We have a bedroom painted in F&B estate emulsion De Nimes which is verging on a cold colour. It's a dual aspect room (north/south) with two windows. I added curtains in a vintage fabric that has a background colour very much like De Nimes but with a large scale terracotta/coral/off white pattern that tones perfectly with our blue/terracotta Liberty rug. I used olive green as an accent colour as we had an olive lamp base looking for a home. The room has lots of textured/patterned elements so it never feels cold.
