Affordable easy-to-install video doorbell recommendations for viewing visitors on my phone

Ok, I’m a bit baffled. I want a ring door bell or similar- nothing fancy, just something that I can see who is at the door through my phone. And is easy to install. I don’t need it to connect to Alexa devices or anything and don’t want to spend a lot of money. What’s best?

Hey there, I just got a Tapo doorbell for 34 quid in Argos. I paid for a memory card so I dont have to pay a subscription as you would for the amazon ring doorbell. I also got a Tapo chime thing that plugs in so I can hear the doorbell indoors (that was £16)

I like it; I think it was quite easy to figure out how to connect it up to the app and the visual is very good.
It records sound and visuals and you can adjust whether you only want it to 'wake up' if the doorbell is pressed or if somebody starts walking near your house.

@Plantpot74 that sounds amazing. Same as Ring but without the talking to them?

Yes, you can talk to the people at the door through your phone too (you have to press a button to talk, it doesnt automatically connect you to the microphone. ) I would recommend it, very futuristic 😄

I just really liked the fact that I didn't have to have a subscription with this brand, it all gets stored on the memory card.
