Anyone living near Ash station in Surrey, what is the area like?

Hi, I’m considering moving to Ash in Surrey but keep hearing very mixed reviews. I don’t need to worry about schools but I do want to know I’m moving to a nice area. I’m looking within a mile radius of Ash station but also considering Ash Green and Ash Vale. Does anyone have any advice? Areas to avoid?

I work in the area (but don't live there). I can't say there's anything remarkable about it but it's certainly better than Aldershot. I've read a couple of articles in the press saying it's an up and coming area but I cannot say I have noticed it yet.

I lived there years ago. I don't know if it has changed now but it was quite run down. Good transport links to Aldershot and Guildford and Reading, plus car hire at the station. It certainly wasn't the worst place to live but not the best either.
