Costs of epoxy vs traditional grout when tiling & costs of mitre joints

Does anyone know what the difference in cost is between traditional grouting and epoxy grouting and or what additional costs are reasonable for mitre tile joints?

If it makes any difference we are having floor, shower area + half walls in one bathroom, floor & walls in an ensuite and floor in a downstairs toilet. Total tiling is 54m2 and we’ve been quoted 2 full days as additional costs for the labour involved in epoxy vs standard grout.

Mitre joints have been quoted as £63.75 per linear meter which is the same price as the per sq meter price for standard tiling. SE England for pricing comparison.

Epoxy grout is expensive and a fairly short work time before it goes off.

Mitre joins are so much nicer than those strips. That seems a reasonable price for it to me. It is fiddly work.

We’ve had both in both of our bathrooms. Epoxy is harder to work with although I don’t think it amount es to two extra days. It is much harder wearing and a great finish - 6 years on the first bathroom we had done looks like new. Mitres tiles definitely added two days and increased labour costs. Both are 100% worth it. We live in a very hard water area as well so wanted anything that minimised lime scale and cleaning and these work.

We had mitred tiles. Our fitter advised that we needed rectified tiles and they needed to be 10 mm and made of porcelain.
he charged us a couple of hundred more and needed a different grout for it.
He turned up one day with this huge machine for cutting tiles and got on with the job. Well pleased. Only after he had finished did he tell us he had never done it before and had bought the equipment specially. If I had known before I might have been reluctant but he was a perfectionist so all good.
wouldn’t have anything but mitred. Well worth every penny.
