Advice on upgrading my dad’s Makita drill for DIY on £200

Hi All,
Looking to upgrade my dads drill (I have clue)
He currently has a Makita 8391D and it’s definitely in need for an upgrade. He loves DIY but I know the batteries on this one goes pretty quick.
Any advice is appreciated. Budget is £200 so the best I can get for that.

I have a dewalt one and can’t fault it. The battery life is fab.

You could also replace the battery on the Makita one?

DH (tradesman) always buys Dewalt.

Look at cordless 18v Makita or blue Bosch. Getting good batteries is important too, at least 4ah. Both these have some models made outside China and in my opinion, better tools than the rest at this price point.

Any particular models you’d all recommend.

As long as you go for a reliable brand with a warranty, it's fine. Look for good deals.
There are so many models it's difficult to choose one; they often change annually too.
Have a look on Screwfix and narrow it down with the filter options. Read reviews too.
