Tempered glass sink in a bathroom - anyone had one?

I like the look of a coloured tempered glass sink sitting on top of a vanity unit for our new shower room. Its a small room, and it would allow me to put some colour into the room (we’d have some of the wall tiles in a similar colour too) but I’m unsure how robust they are. It would be used a few times each day.

We had one once. It was always minging. Unless you’re up for cleaning and drying it after every use I’d say no

Some friends had one and it always always looked a bit grubby. Very high maintenance cleaning wise

That’s a shame, but I appreciate your views. I’m absolutely not up for constant cleaning!

We have one in our downstairs toilet and it looks lovely until it’s used - every drop shows. So I wouldn’t have one again or recommend.

Thank you. This wouldn’t be good for us at all, it’s helpful to know that.

Same as above. We had one (stupidly expensive) and a waterfall tap. Both were a nightmare and replaced 2 years later. It was a constant cleaning mission and stress whenever someone used the loo.

Took mine out as you could see through to the pipes, just not that pretty in reality

Not had one, but if it's made the same way as tempered glass in a greenhouse I wouldn't have one after seeing how easily it shattered

They are a bit 1990s (dated). So I wouldn't have one.

General wisdom says keep fittings standard and use towels, wallpaper, tap ware, mirrors etc that can be changed without having to change the whole suite.
