Has anyone taken an SMI loan and was it worth it?

we keep getting offered an SMI loan through universal credit. We are struggling financially and have a morgage.
my partner works full time while I work part time and care for my disabled son.
had anyone else had one of these loans and are they worth it?

Its an expensive loan. Much better you continue to struggle with a mortgage. Particularly as you have a disabled child who may need the support of your equity in future. Dont unless your having to eat sawdust.
