Experience of buying and repairing a Grade C listed property in Scotland?

Grade C listed buildings. We are interested in a property in Scotland and have just worked out that it is grade C listed. This information was not particularly obvious on the estate agents listing. Some of the windows on the property are uPVC, mostly at the rear where they are not immediately obvious, but the ones at the front are still timber framed sahs windows and would likely require replacing. I have already enquired with the planning department at the Council and am waiting for their response, however, does anyone have experience with a Grade C listed property?

Have you actually seen the property in person? Are there other similar properties nearby? Investigated the actual availability of trades in that area? (Many won’t even quote as too busy). In many rural locations here it is very difficult to get work done. If it’s central built (eg a grade C listed tenement in Glasgow) it’s a different reality to one in the wilds.
