I had large piece of left over carpet after having new in 3 rooms and hall.
It's 2.5 x 2.5.
I thought it would be useful as a large mat over the new carpet in one room and had it whipped.
It doesn't work at all as gets very buckled.
It has quite a stiff back .
Shall I dump it or spend even more money on non slip stuff.
From experience and reading recent thread I think only expensive anti slip stuff will work.
I would like extra coverage in room because it's over downstairs neighbours bedroom and also because partner spends lot of time in room and is very messy and heavy footed.
Dumping him not an option.

We bought this for a stiff rug on a carpet and it works perfectly, had no slippage at all and has been down for 6 months now. Looks like you'd have to get 240/290cm and cut down. £36 plus possible shipping cost, Wayfair charge shipping on some things and not others.
Not a huge amount but not peanuts I think! Should do the trick though.

Oh good! Here's ours. Heavy stiff rug. Hasn't budged at all since we put the stuff under it. 🙂

We had very similar to the above, but from Dunelm. Worked a treat.

Yep, you need the stuff already mentioned.
Ours was from Amazon.
The rug has gone from walking across the room to staying put.
