I like the ikea kitchen one but the bedroom/pax one seems a bit pants as I cant add beds or anything (unless I'm missing a trick)

So what can I use please

We uses this when we remodelled our entire downstairs.
You have to spend a bit of time measuring and building all the walls etc, but there is a fair bit of standard furniture you can add to help give a decent idea of how your plan might work.

Although we used a proper computer to use it, I see there is an phone app now! Although not sure if the app will have as many features as the PC version.

I just completely redid DC's bedrooms with pen and paper! Measured all the walls and converted at a ratio of 10:1 (so 3m became 30cm etc). Added different bits of furniture in coloured card so I could move bits around and figure out where they fitted.

I've used the free version remplanner.com but you need to know the dimensions of your furniture as the standard ones it has aren't necessarily the correct size.

I've been doing floorplans on excel (which is similar @DappledThings) with all the sizes of my furniture but I cant visualise it

So Ill have a look at remplanner & sweethome3d thanks @ABigBlueWhale & @RetiredGranny
