Ideas for repurposing a bright ground floor room after leak repair

We have a 5 bedroom house. Our 4 children are now adults and have left home. At various times a few of them have moved back temporarily after relationship breakups or with partners while saving for a house. Our youngest has just left university and we won’t downsize just yet in case she wants to move back sometime for a while.
we recently had a leak in an underfloor pipe and so the carpet is ruined and the floor had to be dug up. It’s a ground floor room.
Rather than just carpet it again it occurred to me that we could repurpose the room.
It’s a nice bright square room about 14x14 ft.
I was wondering about tiling it and putting in a treadmill and a yoga mat.
We could put in built in storage and use it as a laundry room. We do have a utility room but it’s small.
I already have a home office. We don’t need another bedroom.
What room would you love? Looking for inspiration

A gym if that’s your thing. Personally, I’d have a little library/reading room. Lots of books, a nice comfy sofa and soft furnishings, plants and greenery, a place to have my tea…a relaxation room of some sorts.

That sounds gorgeous too. I am completely incapable of keeping house plants alive but it would be good for me to actually try😂.
I do run and have a gym membership but I much prefer being outside if weather permits.
Not sure if I would be more diligent if there was a treadmill in the house
