New Build Land Registry - tearing my hair out!
I’m not sure if I am in the right place here but experiences of buying a new build and Land Registry.
Offered in July. Searches / mortgage offer all done by October. Building completed in September.
Developer applied for it to be registered in September. It is on the expediting list.
It’s nearly April and no sign of movement.
We can’t complete without it being registered.
HMLR won’t give a lead time.
Anyone been through this and have any experience they can share?

I can't believe they are still in such a mess. I bought in 2022, the house had never been registered so it was a new registration. It finally went through just before our mortgage renewal in 2024, after escalating it through the solicitor.

No advice but I sympathise.

Thanks for the response
it’s so frustrating!
if someone just said it is going to be x months, it would be shit but at least I would know what I am working with.
honestly don’t know what else to do atm!

I wonder if the developers could put any pressure on LR? They must have a lot of sales being held up.

Our house wasn't new but hadn't been sold for decades so we could proceed, I didn't realise it would halt a new build sale, how frustrating.
