AIBU in detesting flats where they have created two bedrooms by moving the kitchen into the sitting room and there is barely any room to move. I’m talking some rooms only 14x 12.

No YANBU but the resident can always choose to use the 2nd bedroom for a different purpose.

Presumably the entire flat is small so making best available of limited space

Single parent of one child would prefer two bedrooms rather than a larger lounge

YANBU I loathe kitchens in the living room - one of the reasons i decided against downsizing was because all the new build bungalows had this set up.

I don't want a fucking kitchen in my living room!

I think done nicely they can be lovely .

Mine is open plan like that but it’s angled so it’s separated and purpose built

Can you put up a divider even a freestanding one to make it feel like it’s split? Won’t hide the smells but gives some separation

I much prefer a small kitchen and decent sized living room
snd one bedroom. But if 2 bedrooms are needed , it's a good solution.
