Buying and Selling a house with Solar Panels on Lease

Has anyone negotiated their way through selling a house with solar panels which are half way through a 20 year lease? Not owned by the house owner?
Or anyone bought a house with this? Is it worth it?
Thanks

I know when DD bought a house with solar panels on lease the sale nearly fell through at the last minute because of some issue with the lease contract. It could be transferred, DD didn’t want the panels anyway so the buyer ended up paying off the lease!

Leased solar panels are a liability for the buyer in most cases. Yes the lease can be transferred to the new owner but after you take a good look at it you probably won't want to take it on. The best course of action is to make it clear to the seller that they must buy out the lease prior to completion. Particularly as they and the associated fittings are already 10 years old.
