Max budget of 695k.
Walkable to city centre (for me that is about a 40 min walk max).
Family friendly area / community feel. Quiet at night.
Good state primary and secondary schools.
(We have 1 daughter).

Which areas should I be looking at?

Thanks!

Combe Down. Gorgeous walks at Rainbow Woods and a nice walk into town (although up hill on the way home!). Village feel while still being part of the city. Great GP surgery, regular bus routes etc.

Combe Down is up a massive hill not sure if I would consider it walkable from the centre.

Maybe Widcombe area or around Victoria park or Landsdown perhaps. Id avoid the London Rd due to traffic.

Erm, not Bath. It's full of students (2 universities) and tourists. I live outside the city and use the park and rides, catch a bus or catch a train You'll get more fir your money too.
