4 children 2 adults in a 2 bed council house for about 2 years, I had a mattress, second eldest had a toddler bed and two cots for 14month apart siblings 🫠 it was horrendous, worse than living in the womans refuge.

5 of us in a very small 3 bed terrace. Kitchen was literally tiny, but opened into a dining room but it was so small for 2 adults, a 14yr old, a 3yr old and then a baby. Ex and I split for other reasons but living like that didn’t help.

Family of 4 in a touring caravan where the table and bench seats turned into a double bed. This was the only bed.

Two bed terrace with DH and our two DC who were a baby and a toddler....we loved there as a family of four for just under three years. It wasn't cramped particularly....we had two reception rooms downstairs, a decent sized kitchen and a big double bedroom. All it meant was the DC had to share for a couple of years. I've been lucky

4 in a 2 bed flat. We moved last mont and are now 3 in a 4 bed house. It's life changing.

I only slept there a couple of times before wisely fucking off, but this place called 'the basement' in central park north.

I was working in the youth hostel and they said they had this great staff accomodation in this basement.

It turned out to be two windowless rooms the size of a box room with four sets of bunk beds in each. No kitchen but strangely quite a spacious and brand new bathroom?! I think I actually slept in there once.

Other than that a student house with six of us sharing one bathroom, and no communal space at all. Not even room for a small kitchen table. The bathroom was in the kitchen as well which was nice.

2 adults, 4 children, a golden retriever, 4 cats, and 2 fish in a top-floor 3-bedroom flat - but it was while we were renovating the rest of the house so was bearable as it provided a sanctuary from the mayhem below.

Born into a 2 bed cottage, 3 adults, 2 children. (Mum, dad, sister and g grandfather.) after that we moved and I never shared a bedroom again until I got married.

I moved in with my brother and his wife (and her family) when my Mum decided to emigrate. I was a teenager.

It was a two-up/two-down terrace with a kitchen and bathroom tagged onto the back.

People who lived there were:

My brother and his wife.
Her mother and her auntie
Her two sons
...and me

Upstairs was literally two bedrooms off a staircase - no hallway, no bathroom (this was on the ground floor at the back of the house)

The two boys (teenagers) had one bedroom.
Mum and Auntie had the other.
My brother and his wife slept on a sofabed in the back living room which everyone had to go through to get to the kitchen/bathroom.
I slept on a sofa in the front room. The front door to the street opened directly into this room.

They were not large rooms by anyone's standards.

Such fun! not
