Make sure you get aluminium ones - we got UPVC 10yrs ago and having to replace already

We have aluminium bifolds. They are 6 years old and we are really happy with them. We have three panes and they cost just under 4k at the time.

I did. Hated them. Never again. I rarely folded them back and had issues with the handles and locks from the get go. My friend has also replaced hers. I now have crittal style double doors with fixed panels either side. Coincidentally (?) my friend got similar. I’m obviously a trend setter as she used the same tiles I did for her bathroom makeover 🤔

We have sliding doors, no folding, much simpler … lots of glass and loads of light

I have bifold doors between the dining room and the conservatory and I love them because they really open up the space (previously had sliding doors). The only thing is to think carefully about where the pointy bit will end up.

Just to add because you asked about cost, they were approx £2K, 4 years ago, for aluminium doors.

We have corner bifold doors, so one panel can open like a normal door then you can fold back the others is wanted. Ours really work well as it effectively opens up two walls to then walk out into the garden
