Thinking of moving to Thame, Oxfordshire - any advice on areas and the commute to London?

Hi there, myself and DH are recently married and thinking of moving to Thame, Oxfordshire to buy our first home together. We are in our early thirties and hoping to start a family soon.

We are currently renting in North London, so we are looking forward to more space and a more tranquil lifestyle. Thame seems like a good option as it’s a pretty town, seems friendly and has good access to Oxford (where we have family) and London (where we both work).

Firstly, any advice on different residential areas / “vibes” within Thame & the best places to live? We have a budget of max £700k and are looking for 3-4 bedrooms within easy walking distance (e.g. 10 mins) of the high street. We’re pretty flexible other than that :)

Secondly, any insights on what the commute is like from Haddenham and Thame Parkway to London Marylebone? i.e. do you get a seat, do people get a bus from Thame to the train station, etc. We’ll both be commuting to London 2-3 times per week.

Any info or advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much
