Hi all. Just that. My neighbour has falsefied a report saying he is not at fault for water ingress to my property. He has also added things on the report stating work I have done to my property has now caused all sorts of things like damp (not true). I know he has falsefied the report and luckily have evidence. This is now with my broker, the loss Adjuster, and the legal team for the claim. Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of what may happen next, or if anyone has been through the same. Thanks.

As you have evidence and have notified your insurance company, let them do the work. If you don't agree with their outcome, follow their complaints procedure.
Good luck.

Back in the day when I worked in insurance, the whole thing would have been sent to our legal dept. for instructions as to whether we should (or could) take legal action against them.

This would not have been a quick process.

Thanks so much. I have spoken to the lawyer who was assigned to my claim and they were very grateful I told them about it. I also followed up our phone call in an email to the along with any evidence attached. I can imagine it takes a while because it is quite a serious issue.

Surely he also invalidated his insurance by doing this 🙈

Well he doesnt have insurance on the property! He is a builder so according to ex wife who still resides in the property he felt they didn't need it because he would fix everything! In any event she then referred my insurers to him so he could go through his builders insurance. As such he is trying to scramble to get out of it as my insurers are after him to pay for reinstatement. He is actually insane. He is also very aggressive and has gotten physical with his ex before. Hes a nasty piece of work. I am over the moon he does not live next door any longer!
