2 bed freehold house in Bromley under £425-is there a way of advertising across London?

We are about to market our house as above.Think it's a good price for a ftb house in London ( especially with garden). Our EAs ( and most we asked) say they have fewer than 10 ftbs on their books and are not getting many enqfrom them

Is there a way of advertising across London for FTBs who might not think to look in our borough? I know FB groups are filled with spam and prohibit adverts. Are there any other places to try or can Rightmove be tweaked to show advert more widely?

Well posting the link here is a good start! What's the sq footage and which bit of Bromley?

People put houses on our local FB marketplace groups. Could you join some locally and see if they do in your area.

Well just my 2p but surely RM is the first port of call for pretty much everyone in England for buying property.
A 2 bed house with garden at that price is really quite rare in London, so those searching via RM will naturally be searching a wide area of the capital- at that price houses are like hens teeth.
I can’t see the appeal of eg Facebook as many people don’t even use it much now, certainly not for buying houses.
Anyway just my 2p.

Surely right move Zoopla do this?

Reply . I don't have listing as between agents. Near Bromley Court Hotel and 650sq ft

It doesn't seem to be the case. All viewers so far have been local and renting. None from outside the borough

FTB houses usually at least 3-bed.

Edited

It's not a flat, it's a 2mbed house with a garden.

your first "problem" will be there are

  • 7 x 2 bed houses at £425,000 on Rightmove in "Bromley" and
  • 9 x 2 bed houses on at £400,000

Do you know how to search on Rightmove?
First you pick an area then you set a distance based limit from that area. The max you can do is within 40 miles and in the context of London that means everything inside the M25 and lots outside it.
That said most people have a rough idea of where they want (need) to live, so advertising "across" London is not going to be of much interest to most buyers.

Ohmygodthepain · 19/07/2025 23:31

There's no regional search exclusion on rightmove. If you're only getting viewings from people in one area thats completely coincidental.

It's always about price op, always.

Twiglets1 · 20/07/2025 07:34

On Rightmove people choose their own geographical locations to search in.

For anyone considering Bromley they can search in Bromley very easily.

If they haven't considered Bromley then there is no way they will see your house, it's true. There are some EAs that are more "nationwide" than local, but they tend to be only for exceptional houses like The Modern House.
