How to show proof of funds to EA?

Basically, my savings are in different accounts. The EAs offer form requires uploading proof of funds to put an offer forward. I am trying to get my offer accepted tomorrow so the house will get taken off the market!

Some money being used was in a S&S ISA so I have sold the shares but it will take until Friday for the money to come out! A huge chunk of my deposit was in a cash ISA where the provider doesn’t do statements - do I just send a screenshot of the balance? But this doesn’t actually show my name on it like a statement.

I honestly didn’t expect to have to show proof of funds just to put an offer forward, only once I engaged a solicitor.

Pick up the phone and speak to the estate agent.

Talk to the estate agent.
But, yes, for us, they just got half a dozen screenshots with a balance on. Can't remember if they all had our names on - basically, we did out best. Can you still access the S&S balance? It doesnt need to be cash-cash.

We printed off screen shots of the balance with no name but they showed an account number. We then printed another screen shot showing account number and our name. The EA accepted this.

That’s strange, we’ve purchased twice now. We didn’t need to show proof of funds to the EA to put an offer in, we only showed ID, proof of address and our mortgage in principle for AML checks. We showed proof of funds to our solicitor once our offer was accepted. Speak to the EA and see if screenshots are ok.

I have only needed to show an agreement in principle at the offer stage, seems unusual.

We only showedproof to the solicitors who used an app they sent us.

I remember when the market was hot I had to show proof of funds to estate agent. I did a screenshot of premium bonds, sent the aip etc

Thanks all! I have the AIP, thought that was all I needed. I saw the house yesterday and the listing hasn’t gone live yet. I want to avoid the house going on Rightmove / shown to anyone else so was told to get my offer in over the weekend hence why I can’t ring the EA today (Sunday) to check what’s acceptable. I will put screenshots of the balance and ring first thing Monday morning to check if there’s anything else I need to provide

All the money is accessible within a few working days so that’s not an issue.
