who decides on the contractor to use in shared roof repairs

I live above a pub, the communal roof needs a good bit of work done to it. The owners of the pub want to use their contractor and I want to use the contractor that my builder advised me to use. Where do I stand in this matter, I don't want to fall out over this.

I would say get the quotes, if theirs is cheaper, but you still insist on yours then you offer to pay the difference? Go from there.

We have done exactly that, so waiting to hear from them today. I am on my own so I rely on my builder for advice and he advised to go with my contractor.
