Local authority searches to completion time

Hi,

Just wondering how long after local authority searches had been done did it take to complete on house sale?

Our sellers solicitors have been slow at sending contracts etc so searches have only just started but our buyer is nearly ready to complete so just in a panic!

Land Registry is in the middle of taking over the function of Local Authority searches. You can check to see if your LA has been included in the new search system here:
https://search-local-land-charges.service.gov.uk/check-if-a-local-authority-is-available-on-this-service

It should speed up things a lot! Depends on your solicitor though.

Thank you for this! Unfortunately local LA isn't included 😕 such a shame!

Ours isn’t either but the main county council is, not sure if that means anything !
