Currently have brick built drive with concrete top, space for one car, it’s level, the rest of our front garden (grassed) is sloping towards the house. It’s was like this when we moved in some 10+ years ago when children were younger. Now eldest is driving & has their own car, other will be driving soon enough, we’re thinking we should really get on with sorting the drive out and our street is getting increasingly busy with cars.
We already have permission to drop the kerb. Obviously we want to keep costs down as much as we can. The whole lot will have to be dug out, existing drive demolished, yeah it’s going to be a big job. We did get a quote about a year ago & it was astronomical!
My question is, has anyone got a sloping drive, where the drive slopes towards your house & how did you do your drive, did you build up with a wall or left it sloping? Iykwim?
