New front door with no number on - buy a slate or numbers to stick on the door?

Hello. My DM has recently ordered a new front door. It's scheduled to be delivered and installed in around 4 weeks. The door does not come with any numbers to put on the door. I am wondering where people on MN have bought door numbers in such a scenario. I've seen stick-on numbers on Amazon but I have no idea if they are good quality. I'm guessing not.

I personally think a slate (or sign) with the house number on would be better, but it would require drilling and screwing the sign into the wall, which she seems hesitant about. What option would you recommend?

I’ve seen some houses that have the house number as part of an outside light which looks good?

I've got a slate that I stuck on with No More Nails. Been up years!

Wooden planter on doorstep (painted to match door?) with large screwed on brass numbers. That's what I used to have at my last house.

Our new composite front door came pre-fitted with metal numbers when delivered from the factory but realistically, screwing metal numbers to a composite door is simple.
If using stickers, make sure the door is perfectly smooth as most have a texture which will prevent them sticking.

Our new house had a standard set of numbers screwed to the wall by the developer.
We replaced this with a bespoke cast aluminium plaque which shows our number & road name (can be a bit awkward to find so having the road name means delivery drivers can be certain, very telling that most neighbours have done something similar).

We have an etched effect window sticker and it looks amazing! Was about £5 from eBay and super easy to put on.

Ask the company she is buying from. I’m sure they could easily add the number on the door before it’s delivered. A fairly common request I would have thought.
