Time gap between sanding skirting/door frames before painting

I’m redecorating my hallway.
I know the recommended order to do things in is walls first, woodwork after.
However, there’s a delay in our paint getting to us. So as not to waste time waiting, I figured I could sand all the woodwork as something to do over the next few evenings. This weekend paint the walls, and next week paint the woodwork. Meaning there’s a 1 week gap between sanding the woodwork and painting it.

Its that ok?

I'd definitely do it the way you have said. Sanding is messy so sand first as the walls will need sugar soaping before you paint them. Do all prep first.
