House on a private road

We’re planning to move and have come across a brand new house that we really like. However, it doesn’t have a garden—just a courtyard at the back. It’s located on a private road shared with only two other houses in Bristol.
We’re a bit unsure about the lack of a garden and the secluded setting. Has anyone lived in a similar situation? We’d love to hear your experiences and any advice you can offer. Thanks in advance!

I would ask to get this moved from the Home Education forum to Property/DIY, you are more likely to get answers on there.

We live on a private road with two other houses.
No problems so far (been here only a few years) but I guess the test will be when any maintenance/repairs are required. We are willing & able to pay our fair share and our neighbours breezily say they will to but when the time comes, what will happen? Only time will tell.

Buying a house with no garden will severely impact your ability to resell it, especially if it’s a family sized house.
