So I am very new to anything renovation diy related and have no clue!
we have just bought an ex council property and the whole kitchen needs doing. Measurements are 8.35 metre squared
what we would like doing is
new flooring
tiles
integrated appliances
Sink
worktops cabinets cupboards all kitchen units
would need electrician and plumbing

quality wise would be happy with units and kitchen from ikea and would only want basic to middle range products so nothing too fancy

so I think that is basically a whole kitchen refit! Budget is only £5000…is that at all do able or what sort of price would we be looking at?!
any advice much appreciated

If you remove the old kitchen yourself and design it yourself and do all the painting yourself then the £5000 might cover the kitchen units and a sink and taps and maybe a plasterer to plaster the kitchen?

You would still need a kitchen fitter and possibly a plumber and electrician depending on what the kitchen fitter is like.

And then you would need to buy an oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, lighting, worktop, materials for the fitter.

If you want someone to do the whole thing as a job I would imagine you are looking at closer to £10,000 as a minimum.

We had our kitchen refitted last year with Howdens and it was £18,000! Our kitchen is about the same size.

I’d say £10k minimum and then the sky’s the limit
