Currently we’re looking at Totley/ Bradway but I worry there isn’t enough there in terms of shops / cafes / florists / restaurants etc.. are there any areas that fit the close proximity to the peaks but has stuff? Previously we’ve lived in West Bridgeford (notts) and Didsbury (MCR) so looking for a similar feel - tia

You really need to provide more info. What is your budget? Are schools a consideration?

NiftyAzureCat · 01/05/2025 09:59

Apologies, budget is 4-425k, originally looking at Totley due to Totley primary and King Ecberts being good schools but just worried about the lack of shops / cinemas / bars

Dore? Near Totley but has a village feel. Couple of pubs and you're not far from Whirlow/top end of Ecclesall Rd which has lots of bars, restaurants, cafes etc

Greystones is great! There's the Greystones pub, a shop and deli/cafe up the hill. Down the hill on ecclesall road there are supermarkets, cafes, florists, bookshops butchers, chippy, etc. Lost of bus routes into town for the cinema too.

Oh and you can walk from Bingham Park into the Peaks, or it's a short drive if you're in the car.
