Attaching brass knocker to UPVC door

As title says- I am wary of drilling into a UPVC door, but adhesive won't hold it surely?

The front door is covered and out of the elements (down an alley down the side of house) so it won't get rained on ever, but I am worried it would be too heavy for even the strongest adhesive.

It's a silly knocker from Oliver Bonas in a fun shape and we have a doorbell so imagine would be mostly for decoration rather than use but want it to be useable!

Has anyone ever done this without drilling?

I haven't done this exactly but have stuck metals to plastics in the past and this has worked well, your biggest issue is not just the weight of the knocker but the fact that it's going to be vibrating every time the door opens and closes. This is elastic but with good adhesion properties so should could work, why are you wary of drilling into PVC?

My friend had a hook installed on her front door so she could hang a wreath at Christmas and other decor. Apparently the installer just drilled a hole in it and all was fine, so maybe get someone with the right equipment to do it?
