Wall panels minimum maximum

What is the situation with wall panels, if I do the hallway, am I meant to do the living room… and what about bedrooms? Do people just select random space for it or does it need to follow through the whole house? How many rooms is too much? Thanks

I would imagine you follow the eye line of the hallway, but I would think every room would be too much

I would only do hallway or another room, as a pp suggested, it’ll look too much otherwise
