Buyers pulled out two days before exchange

I’m feeling devastated right now, estate agent called a couple of hours ago. The reasons cited are “health issues.” I can’t help but feel sceptical but it is what is. I can’t do anything about it. What I have done/got estate agent to do is:

• house immediately put back on rightmove
• our sellers spoken to, obviously gutted too. They will give an initial two week grace period before considering relisting it. This house is everything I want and the thought of losing it is awful. This grace period is the only glimmer of hope I have.
• I’ve asked estate agent to contact my ex buyers and see if searches and survey can be sold on
• further phone call planned to estate agent this afternoon to see what they have started to do to get this house sold again

I’m trying so hard to be proactive - any other ideas welcomed. I’m so incredibly sad though and can’t stop crying. The system in this country seems so unfair.

I’m so sorry, that’s awful. The whole process is so stressful and draining. Hope a new buyer comes along quickly. You’ve done everything you can do. That’s one thing I’ve noticed about this process so far - how out of my control most of the things are. It’s shit.
