Dressing area inspiration

I have a largish alcove space in bedroom which I’d like to make into a nice looking space. It’s 2.3m x 1.6m and currently houses an old dressing table and chest of drawers and is open to the rest of the room. Had thought about adding wardrobes with an inbuilt dressing table, but we already have fitted wardrobes so probably not best use of space.

Does anyone have ideas or inspiration for lovely looking dressing / makeup areas? Thanks

I know it's not a parking thread but a diagram of the room and existing furniture might be helpful I think.

Id think about how you actually get ready. If you already have wardrobes and are happy with them then is this area maybe for “finishing” ie makeup, jewellery, shoes, bags?

@CharlotteStreetW1 have added drawing of space within context of bedroom.

@Ddimerq that’s a good way of thinking of it. We have no other drawers in the bedroom so that’s probably a priority in the space.

I’d probably move the dressing table to where the drawers are (if it will fit) and then you have the longer wall for drawers, hooks, racks etc for shoes and bags and things - assuming you have quite a few of these! Do you need a full length mirror as well? Wallmount a holder for a hairdryer by the dressing table?

The fitted wardrobes can’t be all the storage surely. You’ll need drawers and/or shelves for folded things and undergarments yes?
depending on where the window is I’d consider a dressing table and then fitted floor to ceiling drawers/shelves/hooks type thing

@blueleavesgreensky current dressing table has drawers which hold a lot of stuff so yes need to think about how to replace that lost storage. Window is opposite end of the room and having had a measure could possibly fit a pax or similar into the space, but will look to see if there’s a system that is better for drawers rather than hanging space.

Not the most attractive but look at jonaxel wire drawers
id be wary of anything too “solid” or too wide on that long wall as the area isn’t very wide and you need to be able to walk down, stand back and look at things etc
