Renovating house at moment, small living room, looking for furniture layout ideas please. 2 adults & 2 labradors need to be able to sit. Door will be a sliding door, large picture window which i would prefer not to block, woodburner, TV will go on wall. Would like 2 seater settee and highback chair in the room.. TIA

Where is TV going? Above fire?

We have a small lounge diner, so we have to have the sofa under the window due to the fire and TV being on the opposite wall. We then have a cuddle chair next to the fire

To the left of the fire, up in the corner away from the heat.

Trying to avoid settee in the window, as the view is stunning, but may have to in the end.. 😢

Can you get the sofa in the the space to the right of the bookcase? Chairs on window wall so you don’t entirely block the view?

I really do get you. We back onto farmland .. but the chair faces it kind of. It’s difficult with a
smaller space and awkward door locations etc. Plus the chimney breast kind of dictates our room

Sofa is there at the moment, so probably will stay there 😢

Ours is the same, could do with the room being a few feet wider. But that's not going to happen

Draw it out on grid paper to scale. Draw out furniture also to scale and cut the outlines out then try moving it all around. Can you put the sofa with its back against the door wall, but forward in the room a few feet? Or will the sofa fit on the wall to the left of the bookcase? Its a very awkward room!
