How much to replace a bath with a shower cubicle?

I currently have a bath with a shower over and a curtain. However due to mobility issues I could really do with replacing the bath with a shower cubicle.

I’d like to replace the bath with a shower tray that will fill the same or 2/3ish of the bath’s footprint. I can keep the same shower.

Does anyone have any idea how much this would cost?

I would guess maybe £3000 but if will depend on how your bath has been fitted and whether the walls are fully tiled.
Basically you will need to buy a shower enclosure and shower tray and waste plus tiles, either for the bottom of the walls or the whole walls. The hardest bit will probably be getting someone to agree to do it as it's a quite a bit of work but much easier for bathroom fitters to do a whole new bathroom than faff around with a half done project. You might be able to find a competent handiperson who would do it?

We did this, replaced a corner bath with a shower tray, glass screen, shower board and reused the existing shower and I think it was c£3k not including the cost of the shower screen

Good to know my guesstimating for Reno is reasonably accurate. Thanks @whoisit1234
