Roofers did not install insulation and now too late

I had a new roof in 2021. It’s come to my attention that the roofers have failed to install kingspan. According to several roofers I’ve spoken with this is in contradiction with building regulations and to rectify the situation all the tiles will have to come off. The guy that did the work says it’s not true about building regs and that the boards can be dropped through the gaps in the attic. Can anyone shed light on who to believe and what I should do.

It isn't too late. Insulation panels can be fitted between the rafters.

I fitted ours. The panels fit between the rafters and are held in place by pins. As long as your roofers have fitted a roof lining under your slates or tiles (I'm sure they will have)' you'll be fine.

I don't know what the regulations are on new builds but if building regs required them to be fitted before the roof, every old roof in the UK would have to be replaced.

Thank you meadowfinch . Could be because we live in a dorma bungalow. Our bedrooms are in the attic space. I understand the new rules came in regarding insulation in 2022 .
