I accidentally knocked over a candle full of hot wax on the fireplace mantle which is made from stone, and is porous. On advice I have ironed the area with a hot iron on absorbent paper then used acetone, nail varnish remover, didnt work. I googled the problem and spoke with someone from a company who recommended PAL4 also didnt work, any suggestions on here?

bumping for you op! I did this before but it was on a porcelain sink, I just used a butter knife to get under it. I know not the same material though !

Ohh. I think maybe sand it if it's rough stone? Or alternatively paint it with fireproof paint?
