So there is this old BT phone on the wall in my property. Does anyone know if I can just cut it off or what the best way to remove it would be?

I’d follow the wire to see if it’s plugged into a BT socket, if it is take it out and then you can cut through the wire if you wanted. The rest is probably just screwed to the wall.

Is the cable just plugged into the phone, it probably is so you should be able to unplug it. Where does the cable run to? Can you just track it back to where it plugs into the main phone connection and unplug it there? I assume you are not paying for a landline? But yes it all belongs to you beyond the connection from the street so cut away.
