Hi Everyone, just to say, I'm in Scotland, East Ayrshire. We accepted an offer on our property back in November and we have held the house off the market ever since. We lost a house, then got another house accepted, but they then put their house back on the market as they couldn't get visibility of our chain (due to non responses from buyers solicitor). Despite asking for updates, we could get little out of our buyers. On 2nd April, the buyers told us that everyone in their chain could conclude on 25th April. Our sellers took their house off the market again. Suddenly our buyers have started to ask for numerous surveys that they want us to pay for with the threat they wont exchange missives in 2 weeks, despite making no such requests for 5 months before this (our house had a good survey). It's two weeks to moving day- at least 5 other houses are in the chain, we don't know if we are moving now. Anyone experienced similar? Our solicitor and estate agent believe this is purely bad behaviour and we should not agree.

In such cases it is always wise to follow your lawyer's advice IMO.
