Security system when renting?

I’d like to install some kind of security system for the back garden and front door of the house I’m renting. It feels quite exposed and I don’t feel very safe.

Any recommendations? We’re renters and won’t be staying longer than a year, so don’t want to pour in too much money.

I’ve got Blink cameras. They don’t need a subscription, you can just put a usb stick in the indoor module. It’s from Amazon.

The outdoor camera has a 2 year battery and it’s really clear pictures. You can add a battery doorbell camera and indoor cameras too, it’s a very flexible setup.

The free app goes in your phone and you can talk to people on the doorbell camera.

The clips go straight onto your phone and you’ll be able to see them there or by putting the usb into your computer. Im really pleased with it.
