Asbestos floor tiles

Just had an offer accepted on a house which needs work. Realised main bedroom has stuck down floor tiles on floorboards which looks like asbestos ones. Will go back and check for others too now I've realised.

They will need to come up for new central heating and wiring. Has anyone had them removed and the bitumen? What was the cost?

Thanks

Ours were stuck down with adhesive which also has asbestos in just to warn you.

Thanks, I was wondering about that. I've just spoken to a company and they said if it's the adhesive with asbestos it won't come off and floorboards might have to come up and be replaced. Unfortunately, we need to get the floorboards up for central heating and rewire so leaving wouldn't be an option

We had to remove a beautiful stone floor. Commiserations. At least it should be relatively safe and quick for them to extract if they are taking the boards too.
