Bushey?

My partner and I are looking to make a move from London to Bushey and we wondered if anyone on the forum lived there and any thoughts they had - whether that's on schools, general amenities, commute, so on. All would be super useful and appreciated, thanks.

Hello! Not sure if I'm too late to your post. But I live very close to Bushey station and we love it here. The area I'm in is known as Oxhey Village but is closer to Bushey station than actual Bushey /Bushey High street which is about a mile from the station. I enjoy living here as we have the fields and countryside less than 10 minutes walk away and the station with train into London less than 10 minutes walk. Plus Watford with good shopping , restaurants, cinema, bowling etc is around a mile away too. The trains are mainly good - I get into Victoria in ~ 50 min most days door to door. And there is always the overground if there's problems - it takes longer but is more frequent. In our local area we have a few pubs , corner shop , coffee shop and bakery and then we go to Watford for proper shopping and to Bushey or Watford for eating out. I hope this is useful!
