Hi all

sorry reposting as I couldn’t change the title!

im planning to buy a house on Fox Lane in Palmers Green/south of Southgate station (N13 4xx) and we have our first one on the way this year. Doing some reading I have come to realise that this area is a bit of a black hole when it comes to school. I can’t seem to find much information about the specifics of schools catchment area and am wondering if this specific postcode is within catchment area for good primaries and secondaries. We are planning for this to be our family home as we can’t bear to be moving again. We are planning for more kids and will probably be going for state schools. Please help as I think we will most likely look at different areas if not!

Hazelwood is good, check the catchment. And Winchmore secondary is also well-regarded.

Hazelwood School is great - just got an outstanding / good ofsted. Really great community and loads of extra curricular activities. The catchment seems to change year to year. The safest area to live for the catchment is the east side of green lanes so around Riverway / Lodge Drive up to New River Crescent / Lightcliffe. But some roads on the lakes estate are just about in catchment and I have friends on Palmerston Crescent who got in a couple of years ago.
