Quooker or not

Kitchen refit taking place in 2 weeks, already increased in price, due to changing worktops etc. My question is do I get a quooker 4-in-1? I can't make my mind up. They are expensive, and i like my tea hot, I've had examples of where you have a hot drink & it isn't that hot when made from a quooker. Also are the spares (filters etc), expensive?

I am in the middle of a kitchen renovation too ☺️ I ended up buying the aqua tap version.. not installed it yet, so no idea how good it is compared to Quooker, but it did have good reviews and was not as pricey.. maybe it could be a cheaper alternative 🤷‍♀️

We have a Quooker and love it. Just the boiling water one, our fridge has filtered water and we are not fizzy drinkers. We would definitely replace if we needed to. Ours has never had any servicing and doesn’t need work to it, and it has been in nearly 5 years. We are big tea drinkers and no complaints in temperature.

Our DD has a cheaper version, can’t remember the make but it isn’t as good, doesn’t feel as “boiling” to me and splutters a bit.

I dog-sit where there’s an older Quooker and if I could afford it I would definitely get one.

We have a Qooker that is just boiling water, wouldn’t be without it. Apparently they have a patent for the lining of the tap that retains the heat as the water travels from the tank, a feature that other taps don’t have.

Love ours, best thing in my kitchen and wouldn’t be without it now

We've got just the boiling water one too and I wouldn't be without it. It's not just for hot drinks - think boiling water for pasta and filling hot water bottles.

LightDrizzle · 05/04/2025 13:28

Yes! I love it, and I drink a lot of tea.

Whatonearthdoiknow · 05/04/2025 13:29

Quooker definitely. We’ve got the everything one and it’s fab.

MsPug · 05/04/2025 13:30

A million percent yes

My friend has a Quooker - she said she wouldn’t invest in one again due to the cost of regular servicing (and they live in a soft water area).

I don’t like the tea made from
it. Tea should be made with boiling water & it’s not hot enough.

monktasmic · 05/04/2025 13:31

I have one - still use kettle for tea but it’s good for instant coffee / pasta etc.

friskybivalves · 05/04/2025 13:39

qettle not quooker. We service it ourselves when necessary which isn’t often at all. They just send out spare parts and filters which you choose from their excellent website and there are loads of how to vids - also on YouTube. Really easy.

Just have a boiling water quooker and I love it. Would replace if broken. Have it 18 months and no issues!

Newbie8918 · 05/04/2025 15:09

We have a boiling water tap (not Quooker) and I love it. Can’t live without it. Need to remortgage the house to accommodate the amount of teabags that I now use in a week.

Vickim03 · 05/04/2025 15:19

We have a Franke tap, reaches boiling point so makes good tea!

bouncydog · 05/04/2025 17:28

Boiling water Quooker gets my vote. For anyone saying theirs doesn’t dispense boiling water, there is a fault with it.

CountAdhemar · 05/04/2025 21:01

If I were having a kitchen refit... Not Quooker.
