There are so many villages and small towns in Norfolk - have you got any criteria at all to narrow down what you're looking for?

only somewhere nice to bring up children! Easy really. I am after a couple of places so I can then visit during half term next month!!

Reepham is my favourite, north of Norwich. Close enough to Norwich, but a lovely community in itself. We lived there when our DCs were little and there was lots going on for them. Plenty of individual shops and a thriving pub.
The high school is very sought after.

I actually went to Reepham for secondary school. It's a nice place, it's just been named one of the best places in the UK to live, although I've heard the school isn't as good as it once was. Aylsham is an alternative, more shops etc there, but it's growing quite substantially. There's not many villages or small towns that I wouldn't recommend in Norfolk, so you can't really go too wrong. I would maybe start with North Norfolk for your visit. Or to narrow it down more, if you decide you're interested in a particular school, such as Reepham or Aylsham, visit a selection of the villages in the catchment area.

Alborough in North Norfolk is nice and the primary school is excellent. Classic English village with cricket matches played on the green. Has a pub and a village shop, About 5 miles to Aylsham or North Walsham for a weekly shop.

Norfolk is huge. Are you looking to be anywhere near a city, a hospital, a supermarket, primary/high schools, clubs etc?
