Water meter in new house - should I have received a bill by now?

Moved into new house in December. Info via solicitor stated it had a water meter - never had one before.

Almost instantly, without making contact, received bills for gas, electricity and council tax. But still not received any corresponence re water. Do I just wait for water supplier to get in contact?

No, dont wait! Did you tell them you had moved in? If not tell them now and take a reading from the meter. You should also have informed gas, electricity and Council Tax and taken meter readings for the utilities, unless of course they are smart meters. If you had a previous property and paid for water there and live in the same provider area, you should easily be able to inform them online. Do not risk a huge water bill by not letting them know.

I am on a water meter. I only get billed every six months.

As PP said, you need to tell them you've moved in! As you don't have a move in meter reading you'll have to hope that an accurate reading was taken on the day the last owners moved out.
