Toilets with conventional flush handle

Has anyone found a standard lever flush on a modern looking loo? I would like close coupled and easy to clean, with a dirt-repelling glaze.

I've searched Duravit, Vitra etc but no luck so far. The Roca Carmen is quite nice but looks old fashioned...and 3 times the cost of a Burlington Classic, although 6cm shorter which appeals. I am having a Burlington washstand basin, but don't love their toilets.

Anything I've missed?

Hi,

How modern? The real modern ones I think are all annoyingly button.

The Armitage Shanks Sandringham is pretty modern www.heatandplumb.com/acatalog/armitage-shanks-sandringham-21-close-toilet-e896801-e907601-e896301 or Twyford Option? www.heatandplumb.com/acatalog/twyford-option-close-coupled-toilet-ot1148wh-ot2421wh-st2810wh

The Burlington basins look quite traditional though - check out QS Supplies and Victorian Plumbing for some inexpensive and plain on the more traditional front but with levers.

Hope that helps!

Good luck finding one - I feel the same about lever handles and have been looking too. In case you go for the button style, I've found that the horizontal style buttons (with a similar position to the lever) can be more awkward than pushing the vertical button on the top of the cistern.

I was wondering this recently as I personally prefer the look, but I also have young children who yank on anything that resembles a handle, so I’m going with the button…

My plumber told me almost all new ones are button ones now. Something to do with the new style of water saving cisterns which don't work with a lever handle?

You could try marketplace?

The basin is this one https://www.sanctuary-bathrooms.co.uk/burlington-contemporary-upstand-610mm-basin-chrome-washstand?stockcode=88069&utm_campaign=Shopping%3E%3EAll+Products%3E%3EGoogle+Ads&&&&&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwhMq-BhCFARIsAGvo0KdQriteYrnOoCF8QCur2xGtQJnYdd8lAhIGaHFQlMO_AmU8MIHNuZwaAhyMEALw_wcB

I like the upstand at the back and the basin shape is quite plain compared with some Burlington ones. I need a frame because of where it will be, and they also do a smaller one suitable for the ensuite.

I will explore the Armitage Shanks ones, thank you!
